At BANG! Music, we believe the best way to learn music is through personalized instruction. We don’t believe in a “one size fits all” curriculum. That’s why our lessons aren’t pre-recorded videos, they’re hands-on sessions with experienced local musicians who tailor the curriculum to your interests, from classical technique to rock and jazz improvisation. Whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time or are an advanced player looking to refine your theory and technique, our supportive instructors customize the program to your specific goals.

Instruments We Teach

We proudly offer private weekly instruction for students of all ages and skill levels in Stafford, Fredericksburg, Quantico, and the surrounding area of northern Virginia. Our current roster includes:

• Guitar & Bass: Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele.
• Piano & Keys: Classical piano, jazz, and contemporary styles.
• Drums & Percussion: Drum set, orchestral percussion, and rhythm training.
• Orchestral Strings: Violin, viola, and cello.
• Woodwinds & Brass: Saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, and French horn.
• Folk & Bluegrass: Banjo, mandolin, and more.
• Voice/Vocals: Classical, contemporary, rock, and worship styles.
• Music Production & Recording Technology: Recording, mixing, and mastering techniques.

Our Lesson Philosophy

All lessons are conducted as 30-minute private sessions. While we tailor our teaching to your musical taste, standard music instruction (including note reading, music theory, and technique) is built into every lesson program to ensure you become a well-rounded musician. From time to time, individual instructors organize student recitals to give students a chance to show off what they’ve learned!

Online Options: Can’t make it to the store? Ask us about instructors who offer remote/online lessons.

Rates & Registration

• Pricing: Lessons start at $38 per half hour lesson. All rates are subject to change at our instructors’ discretion. Please contact us for current rates.
• Registration: A one-time registration fee of $20 is charged at sign-up. This fee is waived for returning students and family members of current students.

Scheduling & Policies

• Monthly Blocks: Lessons are booked and billed in monthly blocks to ensure a consistent time slot.
• Scheduling: BANG! Music employees do not manage instructor schedules. All scheduling, including reschedule requests and make-up lessons, is handled directly between the student and the instructor.
• Make-ups: Policy on make-up lessons is left to the discretion of the individual instructor.
