Restringing: We stock all major brands of strings and can restring electrics, acoustics, basses, and folk instruments while you wait (subject to tech availability).
Electronics & Pickups: From fixing a scratchy volume pot to installing a new set of high-output pickups, we can upgrade your tone.
Band & Orchestra Repairs
Through our network of master technicians, we offer comprehensive repair services for woodwinds, brass, and orchestral strings.
Services: Pad replacement, cork replacement, valve cleaning, slide alignment, and structural repairs.
Convenience: We partner with the region’s top specialists (including KBI Music Shoppe and WM Mason Violin Repair) to ensure major repairs are done to the highest standard. No need to drive all over Northern Virginia! Drop off your instrument at our store, and we handle the logistics of getting it to them and back to you safely.

How It Works
Drop Off: Bring your instrument to the store during business hours. No appointment necessary.
Estimate: We will assess the issue. Simple fixes (like restrings) have flat rates; complex repairs may require a bench estimate. While we can provide general ranges over the phone, we cannot provide a guaranteed quote until we see the instrument on the bench.
Play: We’ll notify you as soon as your instrument is ready to pick up!
Terms of Service
Payment for repairs is due at drop-off, prior to service, and is non-refundable. BANG! Music is not responsible for repaired items left with us after 90 days. We are not responsible for hidden damage or age-related parts issues.
