Hans has over 40 years experience teaching private lessons and guitar clinics at local music stores, schools and community colleges. He began his career in the 1970s playing in clubs. He specializes in reading music, rock, R&B and many other styles.
Chris Cepulis – $25 per lesson
Days available: Friday and Saturday
Chris started playing guitar at the age of nine. She picked up her sister’s guitar and a songbook, figured out some chords, and she’s been playing ever since. It was the lessons she shared with her twin brother, however, that were invaluable to her development as a musician. In college, she started using her guitar for her real passion: leading worship. She graduated Penn State with a degree in Secondary Education. She’s been a worship leader and a youth band leader on and off for longer than she’d like to admit. Currently, she is Worship Ministries Director at Stafford Crossing Community Church in southern Stafford County. She loves and plays all types of music and believes in the importance of knowing music basics. Chris teaches beginners.
Kareem Darwish – $30 per lesson

Kareem studied at Five Towns College in NY. He has 20 years playing and teaching experience and toured in various bands in the Tri State area. He was also featured in the March 2008 issue of Guitar Player Magazine. Kareem is skilled in the styles of Rock, Metal, Classical, Funk, and other styles. Also teaches theory and composition.
Larissa Hardin – $30 per lesson

Larissa has been playing clarinet for 13 years and saxophone for 4. She has a bachelor’s in Music Education from WVU and has been teaching in Prince William County for the past two years. She has studied under the direction of former students of the famous clarinetists Stanley Drucker and Robert Marcellus. She has experience in the concert band, orchestra, and chamber music settings as well as playing in world music ensembles such as Brazilian music and steel pans.
David Kitchen – $30 per lesson

David is a singer-songwriter from the DC area where he has maintained an active performance schedule for 25 years. His peers in the Washington Area Music Association have consistently recognized his achievements with several nominations and awards. He emphasizes song structure, practical music theory and vocal accompaniment.
Bruce Middle – $30 per lesson

Bruce is an educator, composer, performing and recording artist with over 25 years in the industry. He teaches beginners through advanced (ages 10-adult) in all styles.

Bruce is currently Professor of Guitar at The University of Mary Washington, and is an 11 time WAMMIE (Washington Area Music Award) nominee.
Joseph Shy – $30 per lesson

Joe teaches a variety of orchestral instruments including all members of the clarinet family, oboe, bassoon, flute, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, horn, tuba, piano and percussion. He has a BM in Music Education (K-12) and Clarinet Performance from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music. He has been teaching private lessons since 2009.
Jon Wiley – $28 per lesson

Jon Wiley is a graduate of the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University with a bachelor’s degree in Music Technology and Sound Recording. He has studied with an eclectic group of musicians such as Ken Karsh (Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff), Fredericksburg’s own Dave Cleveland, and Roberson’s own Rik Lawhorne. He has experience performing in a multitude of different styles including Jazz, Fusion, Blues, Rock, and Country music, playing with groups such as My Cardboard Spaceship Adventure and opening for Three Dog Night. He formerly served as a worship leader for Duquesne’s Crossroads Christian Fellowship and can be seen performing throughout the region with local groups including the popular Washington DC band Melodime and the Joe Vex Band.
